Internal resources to support Institutions, Schools and department and UoA leads with developing impact submissions for the REF can be limited in scale or degree. Working with Insights for Impact enables you to access specific support, designed with your needs in mind to help you produce the best submission possible.
Support services can be developed on a bespoke basis and combined with other services such as training or coaching support.

What’s involved?
Various services available including:
Submission strategies: Working with research impact leads to support planning for impact submission including aligning impact case studies and the impact template element of the submission.
Impact mapping: Reviewing impact and KE activities to identify potential areas of strong impact.
Assessment: Acting as external reviewers, we can contribute extensive experience of case reviews since pre-2014 (including nearly 500 in the run up to REF2021). We can provide summative assessment of cases, as well as providing guidance on how to run assessments in a supportive and positive environment.
Case studies review and advice: Formative review to enable improvement of cases on a one off or repeated basis, often combined with coaching-informed support to discuss and embed improvements.
Case study drafting: Working closely with researchers, we can help to build and shape a narrative from research and evidence materials, developed in iterative discussion.
